Privacy Notice for WI-FI Guest services users

This privacy notice has been drawn up pursuant to article 13 of European Regulation no. 679/2016 on the protection of personal data ("Regulation"), for those who use WI-FI Guest services (hereinafter referred to as “User/Users”).

 

Data Controller

The Data Controller of the personal data SALVAGNINI ITALIA S.P.A., with registered office in Sarego (VI), via Guido Salvagnini n. 51 ("Data Controller"), processes data in accordance with the GDPR and European Data Protection Board Guidelines.

 

Purpose of the processing activity

To allow the use of the company's internet network and the provision of the WI-FI connection services, Data Controller requires the visitor to provide personal data (Name, Surname, Email; hereinafter referred to as “Data”) in order to proceed with user registration and authorization to access the network. Although the provision of such data is optional, failure to provide them may prevent you from using WI-FI systems.

This treatment is based on the performance of a contract to which the user is part of, according to its request to use the WI-FI service.

Moreover, Data Controller may also process data related to the navigation, directly traceable from the device used by User to access the WI-FI Guest, in order to guarantee the security of IT systems and Company assets (e.g. IP address).
 

Information Sharing

According to the purposes set out in the Article 1 of the GDPR, Salvagnini Italia S.p.A. may share information with:

  • Data Controller’s employees and collaborators or with associated and/or subsidiary companies (located both in Italy and abroad), as they act as Data Processors.
  • third party companies or other entities acting as data Processors, that perform outsourcing activities on behalf of the Data Controller or that operate for the management and maintenance of computer system used for processing data and databases.

Data communication will be limited to those necessary data and will be following proportionality principle, according to the purposes described above.

 

Extra EU transfers of personal data or to international organizations

Data Controller will not transfer your data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA). 

 

Methods of data processing

Data Controller process personal data by automated and electronic tool, guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of such data, in accordance with national legislation and the GDPR.  

All technical, IT, organizational, logistical and procedural security measures are implemented in order to ensure the minimum data protection level required by law, allowing the access to personal data only to Data Controller or to Data Processor. 
 

Information Retention

Salvagnini collects Data and information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes described above (paragraph "Purpose of the processing activity") and, in any case, up to six months from the last user’s access to the network. Once this retention period has expired, Data will be destroyed or made anonymous.
 

Data subject's rights

You can exercise the Data subjects’ rights established in GDPR from articles 15 to 21, including:

  • the right to obtain from the Controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed, and where that is the case, access to the personal (right of access);
  • the right to obtain from the Controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you (right to rectification);
  • the right to obtain from the Controller without undue delay the erasure of personal data concerning you when allowed by GDPR (right to be forgotten);
  • the right to object to processing of your personal data when allowed by GDPR (right to object);
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent do not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of personal data relating you infringes GDPR;
  • the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to the Controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to obtain the transmission of those data to another Controller without hindrance from the controller to which the personal data have been provided (Right to data portability).

Service Terms

BY ACCESSING THE SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU ARE NOT ALLOW TO ACCESS THE SERVICE.

You agree to use the WI-FI only for lawful and proper purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Law.

You are directly responsible for the activities performed during the Internet connection through Guest WI-FI services.

User has to safeguard his/her device (PC, smartphone, tablet, etc) which is already configured for this use and is responsible for any misuse of it.

During the use of WI-FI services, it is forbidden to:

  • carry out activities that are contrary to National, European and international law and activities that are prohibited by the regulations regarding the use of network and services for which access has been granted;
  • access to sites whose content and images are contrary to the purpose of the service and/or are illegal (pedophilia, pornographic sites, violent or racist sites, etc.);
  • carry out activities suitable to damage, destroy or compromise the security of Company’s IT resources or activities aimed violating confidentiality of information and/or causing damage to third parties including the creation, transmission and storage of images, data or other material that is offensive, defamatory, obscene, indecent or offensive to human dignity, especially if related to sex, race, religion, political opinions or personal or social status;
  • download or stream software, including browser plugins and freeware, video and audio updates, without a legitimate cause;
  • carry out any activity intended to circumvent or deceive the access control and/or security systems of any internal or public server;
  • use mechanisms or tools designed to circumvent software copy protection systems, reveal passwords, identify security vulnerabilities into the systems, decrypt encrypted files or compromise network security in any way.

In general, user is responsible for any activity carried out in violation of law or regulations. User undertakes the responsibility to release from liability Data Controller. Moreover, user undertakes unscathed the company against any violation of this regulations and/or violation of laws or regulations or other administrative measures.

You accept that Data Controller will monitor, record and store your behavior data during the use of WI-FI services. If necessary, Salvagnini can transmit information regarding the activities you performed during the use of WI-FI Guest system to competent Authorities.
